GasBGon: what we found, and what we recommend right now

You've been an Evolve hosting client for years, and this is the review we owe you. It opens with an urgent item — your public homepage is currently compromised — and then covers the site, search, Google presence, social and a plan to put a 25-year-old brand back to work. Everything here comes from what we could observe publicly on 8 September 2026; anything we could not verify is marked to confirm.

Your homepage is serving someone else's gambling site

When we loaded gasbgon.com on 8 September, the homepage (and /index.html) returned an Indonesian online-gambling page titled “Bos88: The Official Access Slot Online…”, copyright “2025 – Bos88 Bisnis Indonesia”. Google has already indexed your homepage under that title. Your inner pages — the FAQ, management bios, About page, radio media list and press releases — still serve your real content, which tells us the web root was compromised rather than the domain being lost. That is the better of the two outcomes: it is fixable.

Separately, dairiair.com — the X-Cart storefront where the Signature Series cushions and replacement filters were sold — returns a Cloudflare 523 “origin unreachable” error on every page. In plain terms: a customer cannot buy from you on your own website today, and anyone who Googles the brand may see a gambling title next to your name.

Where we stand: We are checking in our hosting system which of the two domains is actually served from our infrastructure and whether the dairiair.com hosting account is still active. If gasbgon.com is on an Evolve server, the server-side clean-up is our responsibility and we start immediately (the site files are yours, and we can take those on too if you ask); if it is hosted elsewhere, the steps below are the same and we will do them with you. Either way, this is not something we want you to have to figure out alone.

  1. Take the compromised homepage offline Replace index.html with a clean holding page today so visitors and Google stop seeing the spam. Keep a copy of the infected files for diagnosis.
  2. Rotate every credential Hosting control panel, FTP/SFTP, cPanel, database, the AOL mailbox used for hosting notices, and the domain registrar login. Turn on two-factor wherever it exists.
  3. Scan and clean the web root Remove injected files, back-door scripts and modified .htaccess rules; compare against a known-good backup. Confirm no rogue DNS records at the registrar.
  4. Bring the store back or park it cleanly Diagnose the 523 on dairiair.com (origin server down or hosting lapsed). If the X-Cart install cannot be recovered quickly, point both domains at one clean interim page with a link to your Amazon listings so sales continue.
  5. Ask Google to re-crawl Verify both domains in Google Search Console, check the Security Issues report, and request a review once clean so the spam title drops out of results.
  6. Lock the domains Enable registrar lock and auto-renew on gasbgon.com and dairiair.com. The former brand domain gasmedic.com has already been lost to an unrelated UK company — we don't want that to happen again.

What is still working for you

25 yrs

Dairiair, LLC has been making the patented GasBGon cushion in Greenville since 2001 — a track record no competitor can copy.

65

Radio stations that covered GasBGon, plus NBC News, Fox News, WRAL, CBC's Basic Black and People's Pharmacy — links that still point at your domain.

Live

Multiple GasBGon listings on Amazon.com (and Amazon.ae) are the channel keeping orders flowing right now. Reviews and price to confirm — Amazon blocked our fetch.

3–6 mo

Your own FAQ says a filter lasts ~3 months (men) to ~6 months (women). That is a built-in repeat purchase most product companies would pay dearly for.

Also intact: the original inner pages (FAQ, bios, About, media) with real, descriptive content; a Facebook page (“Gasbgon – Flatulence Filter Seat Cushion | Greenville NC”); and a Yelp listing at 740 Greenville Blvd — currently under the misspelled name “Flatulance Filter”.

Website findings

Criticalgasbgon.com homepage compromised

Homepage and /index.html serve a “Bos88” gambling page; Google indexes the spam title. Inner pages (/faq.html, /bios.htm, /about.html, /media_links_radio.htm) are intact.

Fix: emergency containment and clean-up steps 1–6 above, then rebuild on a maintained platform so this cannot recur.

Criticaldairiair.com storefront down (HTTP 523)

/cart/home.php and /cart/product.php?productid=16141 all fail with Cloudflare “origin unreachable”. No checkout exists on your own domain.

Fix: confirm hosting status; recover or retire the X-Cart install; interim page linking to Amazon within 48 hours.

HighLegacy, non-responsive design

Static early-2000s .htm/.html pages; the FAQ still links visitors to “download Microsoft Internet Explorer”. No mobile layout — and most Amazon-era shoppers arrive on a phone.

Fix: rebuild on Shopify or WooCommerce with SSL, mobile-first templates, and the FAQ/bios/media content migrated (it is good content).

HighNo re-order path for replacement filters

Filters expire every 3–6 months by your own guidance, yet nothing on the site captures the cushion buyer or reminds them. Only a legacy “Mailing Sign up” page (/signup.htm) exists.

Fix: subscribe-and-save option on filters, post-purchase email/SMS reminder at day 75 and day 150, and a one-click re-order link.

MediumFrozen content, no dates

No copyright year or last-updated dates; latest dated items are a 2001 press release and 2006/2011 WRAL coverage. Visitors cannot tell the company is active.

Fix: dated “press & media” page, current year in footer, and one short update per quarter.

MediumContact and trust signals

Contact is “Drop us a line” plus 252-355-8085; no form, chat or order-status link. Business email runs on AOL addresses rather than @gasbgon.com.

Fix: contact form with spam protection, order-status page, and branded email (hello@gasbgon.com) — it also helps deliverability for reminder emails.

MediumLost brand domain

gasmedic.com now belongs to an unrelated UK gas-engineer booking app; directories still point to it.

Fix: use gasbgon.com/gasmedic for the clinical line, update directory listings, and set every remaining domain to auto-renew with registrar lock.

LowAmazon “official site” credibility

A hacked or flagged official site weakens your Brand Registry standing and gives shoppers a reason to hesitate.

Fix: once clean, link the rebuilt site from your Amazon Store page and A+ content.

Search (SEO) findings

CriticalBrand search equity is being siphoned

Homepage title, meta and H1 are now “Bos88”, “Slot Gacor”, “RTP 99%”. Anyone searching your brand sees a gambling title against gasbgon.com.

Fix: clean-up + Search Console review request; then a proper title (“GasBGon® Flatulence Filter Cushion & Replacement Filters | Greenville, NC”).

HighKeyword gaps competitors own

“flatulence cushion”, “fart filter cushion”, “charcoal seat cushion IBS”, “Crohn's gas odor cushion”, “GasBGon replacement filter” — currently ranked by Flatulence Filter/UltraTech, Subtle Butt/Flat-D and Shreddies.

Fix: one landing page per intent (condition, novelty/gift, replacement filter) with Product schema and FAQ schema.

AssetDormant national backlink profile

Links from NBC News, Fox News, WRAL, People's Pharmacy, The Pitt News and CBC still exist. Right now they point at a spam page.

Fix: preserve every legacy URL (301 map) in the rebuild so this authority transfers to the new pages on day one.

MediumSmall, dated footprint

Roughly 10–20 legacy pages on gasbgon.com plus a handful of dairiair.com/cart/ URLs (cat=251, cat=254, productid=16141). Inner titles are descriptive but there is no schema, no modern meta, no blog, no content dated after 2011.

Fix: consolidate both domains to gasbgon.com; monthly article on gas, diet and odor control written for the IBS/Crohn's reader.
05

Google Business Profile

Status: no profile found under Dairiair, LLC or GasBGon. Rating, review count and categories: none. The only local listing we found is Yelp, under the misspelled name “Flatulance Filter” at 740 Greenville Blvd (category: Shopping, “Updated June 2026”; rating to confirm).

Because you sell nationally and the Greenville address is a suite/mailbox, we would set this up as a product/e-commerce business profile, address hidden, service area “United States” — it still earns the branded knowledge panel, review stars and Google Shopping trust signals without inviting walk-ins.

EnhancementWhat we'd do
Create & verifyPrimary category “Health and beauty shop” or “Manufacturer”; secondary “Medical supply store” — to confirm with you. Fix the Yelp name to GasBGon and link the two.
ProductsLoad the cushion (each Signature print), replacement filters and GasMedic with prices and UTM'd links to the rebuilt store.
PostsTwo per month: filter-reminder season, new print, press throwback.
Q&ASeed the eight FAQ questions you already answer (how long does a filter last, does it work through clothing, washing, GasMedic vs GasBGon).
PhotosProduct on a chair, filter close-up, the Huzas with the media wall — a real company behind the product.
ReviewsPost-purchase email asks for a Google review from web-store buyers (Amazon buyers stay on Amazon); every review answered within 48 hours.

Social

Found: Facebook page “Gasbgon – Flatulence Filter Seat Cushion | Greenville NC” (page ID suggests it was created around late 2023/2024; follower count and last post to confirm — Facebook blocked our fetch). Not found: Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Pinterest. Given the product's history of national TV and radio pickup, the gap is not the idea — it is that nobody is posting.

Education

“How long does a GasBGon filter actually last?”

Show the filter next to a calendar: about 3 months for men, 6 for women — straight from the FAQ — and why (activated-carbon saturation). End with the re-order link.

Humour / gift

Signature Series line-up

Carousel of the prints — Black Badger, Bingo, Real Foul, Got Away, Silent Butt Deadly, Musical Solo — “Which one is your dad?” Father's Day and stocking-stuffer versions.

Community

“Made for people who don't find it funny”

A GasMedic post written for the IBS and Crohn's reader — the seriousness of odor anxiety at work, in class, in care homes — with Sharron's nursing background front and centre.

Press throwback

Screenshot of the NBC News piece and the WRAL segment with a one-line story from Jim about the invention. Proof this is a real, 25-year-old product.

Behind the scenes

Inside the filter

Jim cuts a spent filter open beside a new one — a 30-second video that explains the science better than any paragraph, and makes the re-order obvious.

Re-order

“Bought a cushion last spring?”

Seasonal reminder post (March / September) with a single-click filter re-order link and the subscribe-and-save offer.

Paid search starter concept

Only once the site is clean and the store works — sending paid traffic to Amazon is possible but hands the customer relationship (and the filter re-order) to Amazon. Geo: United States, all states, with a 20% bid boost on NC; add Canada later given the CBC history.

1 · Brand & re-order

Protect the brand term while Google still shows the spam title, and catch existing owners looking for filters.

2 · Condition-led (GasMedic)

What BICS adds

Our sister analytics firm, BI Consulting Services (Mooresville, NC — a Microsoft Partner), has sketched a small “consumables & channel” dashboard for GasBGon: Amazon Seller Central and the rebuilt store in one view, built around the filter-life cycle so you can see, every morning, how many cushion buyers are due for a filter and whether the reminder emails are converting. The companion integration concept shows how order data from both channels would feed those reminders automatically. Both are samples — illustrative, not your actuals — and both are yours to look at without obligation.
